In 2006, Ignacio Masias, CEO & Founder of Andean, set out to share Peru with friends. What began as a personal way of travelling slowly grew into a collection of journeys, places, and encounters that eventually became Andean.
Over twenty years of travelling, sharing, and discovering Peru differently.

Andean did not begin with a plan to create a collection of properties. It began with a desire to bring people closer to Peru, to its landscapes, traditions, and the people who give each place its meaning.
What began as a handful of houses beside Lake Titicaca became Titilaka, a different kind of hotel, shaped not only by its architecture, but by the landscape, local culture, and the journeys that unfolded around it.
2005
Founded as an incoming tour operator, ranked among the top three in Peru.
2007-2008
Titilaka begins operations as a lodge with 17 rooms, located on Lake Titicaca.
2016
Atemporal begins operations as a six-room boutique property
in Lima.
2019
CIRQA begins operations as an
11-room property
in Arequipa.
2023
PUQIO begins operations as a camp with 8 tents/domes, located in the Colca Valley.
2025

Everything that followed grew from that idea.
Different places.
Different stories.
The same spirit.

Over time, the collection began to take shape. Each property began with the place itself, its history, its landscape, and its particular way of life.
“Twenty years ago, this journey began with a desire to share Peru with friends. Today, much has grown around that first idea, but the essence remains: meaningful encounters between travellers, and the people who call these places home.”
Andean may have begun with one person’s desire to share Peru, but it has been shaped by many. Across every journey and property are people whose knowledge, generosity and connection to place make each experience possible.
