Sustainability has always been a core part of our ethos at Andean

From sourcing seasonal, local produce for our menus to composting waste and recycling greywater, and decorating with art from local artisans, nearly every component of our experiences has been crafted with intention. By fostering a culture of reciprocity, employees are proud to come to work, guests feel good about contributing to positive local exchange, and our properties effortlessly maintain their authenticity.

Social

We hire, buy, and give back locally and are committed to our destinations and the future of their people. By providing opportunities in hospitality, supporting a farm-to-table ecosystem, and connecting world travelers with local communities, we thrive together in the long run.

Environmental

Ever since our inception in 2006, environmental sustainability has been a core tenet of our approach.

We constantly strive to be plastic-free in all five of our properties, use biodegradable cleaning supplies, and prioritise seasonal and local fare.In our remote camps, we try our best to reuse greywater and compost organic material.

Our environmental initiatives vary at every destination and are ever-changing as new technologies and solutions become available.

Economic

Economic sustainability is inherently connected to our social and environmental pillars.

By building our team of hosts and guides from the local community, we foster meaningful careers and increase employee retention. Through supporting local suppliers, artists, farmers, and entire communities, our offering remains honest.

Our travellers are attuned to this genuine approach, helping ensure a long-lived cycle of reciprocity.
